Swimming Proficiency

Some school funding, including Sports Premium, has been used in the past to support maintaining the school swimming pool.  We see it is vitally important that as many pupils as possible are able to swim by the time they leave us; it is a life skill and one which could prove to save lives in the future.  

Our core offer for swimming is that all of our Year 5 pupils go swimming at least four days a week for four weeks of the summer term.  The Sports Premium is used to enable all pupils to swim four times a week while the pool is open in the summer term. This would usually enable Y6 to achieve the expected level by the time they leave our school.
